Dear Josie, Marjorie, Beverly, Gary & Family: thinking of all of you in your time of sorrow. I remember Jack well from West Pittsfield. We grew up together in the same neighborhood, went to the old Stearns School on Lebanon Avenue, and played baseball, hide-go-seek and "Capture the Flag" in Major's field next to his home. As teenagers, we both enlisted in the Marines and served in Korea. Later in life, we shared our experiences at PHS reunions (Class of '53). And, his smile the last time I saw him still was as genuine, warm and friendly, as when I remember Jack in our boyhood. May loving memories bring all of you comfort through the days ahead. My condolences to the Vincent Family, especially his beautiful wife Josie and my former basketball player, Johnny. Jack was one of God's great creations. He was the champion of the underdog. Jack had a smile that would light up a room. He was extremely generous and did God's will by helping his fellow man/woman who were in need. First and foremost was the love of his family, especially his loyal and devoted wife, Josie, who was always by his side. The past few years Jack had to overcome numerous physical ailments. Josie was the primary caregiver and gave an abundance of energy to comfort her beloved husband. The rest of the family did their part ,as well, when possible. They loved their dad. You never get over the passing of a loved one, but rather you have to get through it. We all mourn Jack's passing, but should celebrate his wonderful life and his birth into eternal life. Rest in Peace my friend and say hello to my Angelic wife, Cathy Procopio!
