Obituary for David Michael Prenguber

It is with great sorrow that the family of David M Prenguber, age 58, announce his passing on Monday, September 12, 2022.
Born in Pittsfield to the late John C Prenguber and Therese Richard Prenguber he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and Northeastern University. An employee of General Dynamics, he began his dedicated career at the Pittsfield site in 1984. David loved the outdoors and made many great memories hiking the trails of Mount Greylock and surrounding area trails with his wife and family as well as biking many northeastern railtrails. An American history enthusiast, many family excursions were made to national parks and national battlefield sites throughout the United States. A talented handyman, it was always known "Dad could fix it." A member of the Lenox Sportsmen's Club, David enjoyed testing and improving his firearm skills.
Left to mourn his loss are his loving wife of 34 years, Heather, daughter Averie Hamilton and her husband Michael of Westford, son Garret and his fiancee Alexa Pfeiffer of Saco, Maine, and his much loved sisters Marcia Prenguber and her husband Gerrit Huig of Gresham, Oregon and Cindy Prenguber of Narragansett, Rhode Island as well as many nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins and several of the best friends a man could have. David was predeceased by brother John Prenguber and nephew Nathan Prenguber.
David was a wonderfully loving, caring husband, father, and brother who always gave his best to family, friends and career. He is deeply missed.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 2:00-5:00 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm Street, Pittsfield, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 19, 2022 at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 414 North Street, Pittsfield, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Nature Conservancy, National Park Foundation, or American Battlefield Trust in care of the funeral home.
