Obituary for Erika Lynn Brown
Erika Lynn Brown, 30, of Pittsfield died on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at her home. She was born on April 13, 1991 in North Adams, MA a daughter of Mark & Marcia (Wright) Brown.
Erika attended local schools including Drury High School. Erika primarily enjoyed spending time with her four children. She enjoyed going to area tag sales, listening to music, doing arts and crafts with her children, and most importantly loved to help anyone in need. Erika was a devoted mother who absolutely loved her children. She struggled through her life with mental health illness and then for a short time struggled with addiction. The loss of her children was the beginning of her end. As a young child she was a Brownie Girl Scout and worked very hard and received many merit badges and special awards. For all those that truly knew her she loved to help those in need and helping others made her very happy and brought joy to their lives.
Erika leaves her parents Mark and Marcia Brown of North Adams, four children, Jasiah Brown, Ellieona Gillis, Alonna Gillis, and Reyna Gillis. She also leaves her siblings including, Rebecca Jean Randall, Alicia Marie, Melissa Ann, William Nelson Brown II and Andrew Brown. Erika leaves her fiancé, Charles Gillis with whom she resided. She was predeceased by her son, Izyak Morris in 2017 and her brother, Mark Andrew Brown in 1993.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Erika Brown will take place on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 2-4 PM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247. Donations may be made in her memory to the funeral home.
