Gloria M. (Lopardo) Charron, 99 of North Adams, MA died on Thursday May 18, 2023 at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in North Adams, MA on May 26, 1923, a daughter of Michael and Fiorina (Pellegrino) Lopardo. Gloria graduated from Drury High School and the New England Conservatory of Music.
Gloria was primarily a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She pursued a second degree in Library Science and later worked as a substitute librarian. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
She was the widow of Richard George Charron Sr. who died on June 15, 1999. They were married on June 22, 1948. Survivors include one son- Richard G. Charron Jr of North Adams and three daughters- Janet L. Chapman and her husband Steven of Hubbardston, MA; Patricia Charron of Merritt Island, FL and Barbara Charron of Orlando, FL. She also leaves three grandchildren- Jason Kyle, Christopher Charron and Alexander Charron; two great grandchildren- Adelena Charron and Alexander Charron; one sister- Elvira Garofalo of Cape Canaveral, FL and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters and one brother including Mario Lopardo, Inez Lopardo, Yolanda Allen, Venice Smith and Loretta MacDonald.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Gloria Charron will be celebrated Monday May 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. A calling hour at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA will be Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
