Obituary for Margaret Harrison Parsons Frost

MARGARET H. P. FROST

Margaret Harrison Parsons “Marnie” Frost died at her Williamstown Massachusetts home on March 4, 2023 with her husband by her side.
Born in New York on April 16, 1939, Marnie graduated from The Brearley School and then Smith College in 1960. She then taught at St. Bernard’s school in New York until she married Peter Frost on June 18, 1965 and moved to Williamstown Massachusetts. There she was a much-loved teacher in the town’s public elementary school. When she and her husband retired and moved to Oxford Mississippi for fifteen years, she helped 3rd graders learn to read and was, with her friend, an enthusiastic quilter whose work was mostly donated to Habitat for Humanity. She also loved living in Japan and enjoying trips to China and other East and Southeast Asian nations.
Marnie is survived by her three sons and their families: Jonathan, Catherine and their two daughters; Michael, Leslie and their two sons, and Rufus, Susan, their daughter and two sons. A celebration of Marnie’s life will be arranged later. A memorial gift can be made to the Children’s Room at the North Haven Library, North Haven ME 04853 or to any charity of your choice.
