Obituary for Delfina DiTomasso (Polce)
Delfina (Polce) DiTomasso, 94 of Pittsfield, MA died Thursday November 25, 2021 at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox.
She was born in San Valentino, Italy on November 28, 1926, a daughter of Camillo Polce and Giovina (DiTomasso) Polce. She attended schools in Italy and came to the US in 1949.
Delfina was last employed at the coat factory in Pittsfield. Before that, she worked at General Electric Co. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was a member of the Sons of Italy ITAM Lodge. Delfina enjoyed cooking for her family and loved to travel.
She was the widow of Antonio DiTomasso who died on August 12, 2001. They were married on July 29, 1948. Survivors include her daughter- Elaine Ricciarini and her partner, Carlos Xavier of Pittsfield; two sisters- Pia Battaglino of Milford, CT and Maria Maiolo of Derby, CT and one brother- Rocco Polce in Italy. She is also survived by her sister in law- Giuseppina Polce of Pittsfield, MA and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Her grandson- Paul A, Ricciarini Jr died on May 24, 2018 and two brothers and two sisters are deceased including Bambina, Gina, Cesare, and Valentino. Delfina's family would like to thank the staff at Mount Carmel Care Center for the love and care that they gave to her.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Delfina DiTomasso will be Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA with Rev. Christopher Malatesta officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday morning from 9-11 AM.
