Obituary for Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Argentino (Bercury)
Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Bercury) Argentino, 79, of Pittsfield, MA died Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.
She was born in Pittsfield, MA on March 29, 1942, a daughter of Frederick L. and Dorothy (Thebodo) Bercury. She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1959.
Betty worked at General Electric Co for over 25 years. She and her husband then moved to Las Vegas, NV where she worked in the public school system until her retirement. She returned to Pittsfield where she was a communicant of the former All Souls Church. Betty enjoyed knitting, reading, playing tennis, bowling and cross word puzzles.
She was the widow of Harry Argentino who died in 1995. Survivors include three sisters- Clara M. Dash of Pittsfield; Frieda Maces of Dalton, and Kathleen Kilborne of Cluny, France; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Elizabeth Argentino will be celebrated Monday November 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A calling hour at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
