Constance J. Thomas

Constance Joyce (Hurlbut) Thomas daughter of Ernest Downs Hurlbut and Sadie Mary (Abraham) Hurlbut of North Adams Ma. She leaves behind a younger sister Cynthia Booth of Adams, Ma.
Constance (Connie) was raised in North Adams attending St. Joseph School. She was united in holy matrimony to Clifton Richard (Sonny) Thomas on January 11th, 1958. Constance was predeceased by her late husband Clifton of 62 years on April 25th 2020. Connie is survived by her son Michael Thomas of Vergennes, VT, daughters Sonya Shea, Shelly Davine, Karen Buffkin all of North Adams Ma, and she was predeceased by her son Stephen Thomas. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces and nephews. May her memory, influence and presence remain in the lives of everyone who knew and cherished her. On May 30th Constance passed quietly in her sleep with family at her side.
Connie work in local industry to include Bell Telephone, Hunter Outdoor Product, and Sprague Electric where she spent over 20 years before retiring. After retirement Connie and Sonny spent many winters in Florida before moving to Port Richey. They returned to North Adams in may of 2019 due to Sonny’s failing health.
Connie was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was a devoted homemaker, mother of four, grandmother to ten and great grandmother to thirteen. For the past forty plus years she has been known by family and friends alike as Mimmi or Mim. Mimmi took great pride in caring for each and every one of us in her own special way to meet our individual needs.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Constance will be on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 9:30 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 8:00 – 9:00 AM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home – CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247. In Remembrance of Constance’s late husband, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
